Labor Day is an American feast, celebrated the first Monday of September. New York City union recruits seized the first Labor Day parade on Sept. 5, 1882. President Grover Cleveland signed a law designating the holiday as a day off for staff in the US. Take gain of this celebratory day off by enjoying it to the fullest!

**** Head to the coast. Enjoy one last sea or lakeside hurrah before the autumn withstand starts to set in. **** Spend a day in the commons. With high gas prices you might be limited to how far you can go. Pack a picnic lunch and an ice chest full of cold beverages and command to a local park. Invite some friends and family members to make a day of it. Bring water balloons for a fun way to keep cool, toss a frisbee around, or have some fun competitions like three-legged races and watermelon seed spitting.
